Bistrola

Once upon a time I wanted to get together with my friends for a fun-packed dinner. I made a few phone calls, talked to a few voice mails and really had my mind set on a place for our meeting. Only a couple of days later I realized not everyone was in-sync with my taste, my favorite place, and even my budget. Instead of "cheers" I started getting negative vibes about this get-together. So, to set things straight I started asking my buddies where they want to hang out but this only got things messier; one of us felt like Sushi, another was all about Steak-House, while the rest couldn't care less. Two other short-cashed dudes insisted on keeping a mediocre budget, and my girl- she was fine with everything except it had to be anywhere on the upper west side of town. Now, I'm always up for a brainteasing quiz but not when it has to do with my fun time.

So...

Instead of JUST getting together we decided to get resourceful and help the world with a suitable solution: Bistrola. The idea is simple: have everyone in the meeting group choose his own preferences from restaurant type, price range and area and have the opportunity to set importance weight to each of these. From this point on we let a clever (and objective) algorithm provide the optimal solution based on our requests. Not only this saved us the hassle, but we also found new places to get-together and really, everyone lived happily ever after

We'd love to hear if you also had a good experience with Bistrola.
