Bistrola

1. The Occasion

This site is all about finding a place to meet. The very first step is to make an invitation by describing the occasion. Here, you may write a one liner or specify more in case more details are needed. Later on this information will be sent in your email to your friends in a meeting request. Invite your friends to an occasion on the town

2. When & Where

By setting when and where you may specify which city or major area the event takes place. We're assuming that this at least is common ground for the group to meet while later on, you and the rest of the group will choose a preferred city district.

Choose a date and time. By default, the meeting will be set a week ahead. Note that the timing is something that is not in debate in Bistrola. If you and your friends are disputing about that you can propose different dates using your email clients

when and where

3. Vote

This step is the core of Bistrola’s experience: you are here asked to select a city district, your preferred cuisine, and your desired price range. The important part is about setting importance levels to each of these mentioned selections. You can set a level of importance to each of the categories to reflect your flexibility towards each meeting preference. For example, you may decide that an area is not a big issue for. To express this, simply mark the Area dial to a low place (move it to the left part). With the same logic you may set Cuisine or Price to imply your importance for them.

Note that these dials reflect a comparative set of your choices. For example, setting all dials to maximum or all dials to minimum would have the same meaning, since both cases insist of an even split between your three preferences: Area, Cuisine, and Price

4. Notifications

In this last step you are required to state your name and email address. This will enable your friends to identify you and view your desired pick for the event. Please note that Bistrola has a strict privacy policy about not making any foul use with your email address.

Here, you are also asked to fill in some information about the meeting process:

1. When Bistrola starts making email alerts about the occasion:
  • By minimum of active invitees. Here try to fill in a number that is either equal or lower than the total group you intend to invite. Otherwise this option won’t generate an alert.
Remember: Bistrola knows nothing in advance about the group size you intend to invite so it’s up to you to estimate at this step the group size

  • By days before the event. Again, avoid entering days that exceed the days before the meeting

2. Number of suggested restaurants you wish to receive as an outcome of Bistrola’s service. This one is totally up to you
